In the past, the craft of silversmithing and the creation of silver and gold jewelry were employed to adorn cloth and armor. Turkmens, in particular, utilized precious stones such as agate and turquoise, in addition to metals like gold, silver, brass, and nickel silver, to make these kinds of jewelry. Using casting and soldering techniques, Ahmad Dorodi has handcrafted the silver “Bote Jeghe (Paisley) Necklace” which is a traditional Turkmen jewelry. The pendant of this necklace, inspired by the decorations of Turkmen women's clothes and four-petal flowers, has a golden coating adorned with agate stones. Filigree work, consisting of eight teardrop-shaped motifs made from silver, surrounds the center, forming an Eskandari design. A two-layered silver chain is attached to the pendant. This work should be preserved in a dry environment, away from humidity and dust.
